This is the best way to learn the rules of chess because you can read it quickly and you can easily use it as reference while learning how to play. I wish it had a practice section but it’s straight forward to the point, fast and free, I love it.

This is a great app for learning the basic principles of chess.

Wanting to get the basics. This app more than filled my requirements. Not expecting to be a good player just to enjoy the challenge is my objective and this app does just that.

Excellent tutorial!!

I have played occasionally since childhood, but with no formal learning. This catches you up on the Chess world, as well as simplifies intermediate strategies in an enjoyable and concise way. It’s a keeper, and gives you a break on ads.

My son has always a chess master and I’ve always have wanted to play with him. This app was very straight forward and I’ve learned so much about chess.

The app started at the beginning and gave me many basics I didn’t know.

This introduction is smart, concise, and has no wordiness. Very efficient explanations.

This electronic manual is concise and very easy to understand. It is written for a beginner or for an intermediate player who needs a quick review.

It is a great rudimentary beginning to the game of chess. Easy to understand and follow.

It explains the rules and strategies and is like a manual. But, it’s missing the most important component of any teaching/learning dynamic - the “now you try” portion. It doesn’t allow you to try the moves and doesn’t give you any feedback. It teaches you the rules - not how to actually play. I know all the steps of how to perform a surgery from reading about it - I’ve just had anyone to help me practice doing it myself. Not hands on.

As an absolute beginner, I found this app very helpful. Most things I already knew, but those are necessary basic things that must be covered. But, the things beyond them were new to me and begin to help one think about strategy. I found this app to be extremely helpful.

This is a great app. You get to practice as you learn.

This is an interactive step by step lesson in chess. The manual allows you to move the pieces in each chapter. So the learning is an active exercise and not just a passive, receptive one. In the future I’d like to see the graphics augmented to have a more 3-D appearance. But even without that it’s 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I started with reading the Ebook and eventually downloaded the chess lite app. The book was short and to the point. I’m hoping to learn some patterns...

I had no idea how to play chess 30 minites ago. Now I know everything I need to know to play the game. Great teacher

Good App very highly recommended for those who know little to nothing about the game. I wanted to learn advanced strategies and it’s not good for that. But it’s good for a lot of basic information as well as some minor facts often forgotten.

I downloaded this app to teach my son how to play chess. However I have also benefitted a lot from the app. It tells me some basic patterns that I never realized before. Highly recommended for novice players who want to learn the patterns.

This is a very good introduction to chess. I purchased the the other apps based on the quality of this app and I am not disappointed.

My son is a chess master and has always wanted me to learn. I tried a few tutorials on line but couldn't grasp it all. When I got this app, I kept saying aloud, "Oh, I see!" I'm 79 and now with this app, I can do this. Very complete instructions.
